Hi, I’m Katie McClain.

I came to the Enneagram quietly—long before it became something I shared publicly. I was working as an accountant at the time, teaching the Enneagram informally in living rooms, small groups, and private conversations, simply because people were eager to know more.

While I was a successful public accountant and business owner for 15 years (2005 – 2020), my deepest passion has always been the study of human behavior and the employment of every resource available to us to have healthy, whole relationships with self, with Source, and with others.   

After having children back-to-back in 2013 and 2015, my body and mind could no longer sustain full-time accounting while trying to be a stable, present and involved mother and wife.  I left the business world in 2020 to manage my home full-time, and I spend my days shuttling my children all over, volunteering an exercise class at a local assisted living home, mentoring students in our public school program, serving with the Parent Teacher Organization, continuing as the unpaid accountant for my husband’s business (ha!), and studying & sharing the Enneagram with any spare minute available.  

I stumbled upon the Enneagram in 2017, gave myself over to understanding and applying its wisdom, and began sharing it with anyone who would listen!  With a marker board and an array of Expo markers, I found so much joy in teaching the Enneagram to family, friends and acquaintances in any living room I was invited into.

In 2023, I enrolled with Chestnut-Paes Enneagram Academy in pursuit of professional certification to use the Enneagram for private coaching and business team-building. Having graduated from the Academy in 2025, but with nearly a decade of study & experience with the Enneagram, I’ve been able to lead countless others on their journey of getting to know themselves on a deeper level.  From Zoom calls, to back-porch-sitting, to fireside chats, to dining table meetings, to couch-time, to phone calls and lengthy text exchanges, my soul has been humbled and healed by being in the presence of people who know there’s so much more to who they are, and who will stop at nothing to discover their truest essence.

I have never known another typology system or source of wisdom so transformative and effective as the Enneagram in revealing those personality structures that have been getting in our way for our whole lives!  My cup truly runs all the way over when I’m given the gift of witnessing others gasp with relief over feeling so seen and understood on a level they may have never been able to articulate before.
